GRAND ISLE
During the summer of 2016, Blane De St. Croix completed a research trip studying the geography and devastating consequences of oil drilling in the Gulf Coast region. The trip included explorations of the Mississippi Delta, Louisiana Bayou, greater New Orleans, and the narrow barrier islands in the Gulf of Mexico including Grand Isle. De St. Croix met with scientists from the US Geological Survey and Tulane University, various environmental organizations, and individuals from the traditional Cajun community
