SMITHSONIAN ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH CENTER (SERC)

In 2016 Blane De St. Croix spent eighteen months as an artist fellow researching at SERC (Smithsonian Environmental Research Center) in Edgewater, Maryland, a 2,800-acre environmental research and educational facility that includes The Global Change Wetland. Operated by the Smithsonian Institution, SERC leads research on coastal ecosystems to inform real-world decisions for wise policies, best business practices, and a sustainable planet.
